Applications are invited for the above-indicated vacancy that exists in the Sales and Marketing Division. The incumbent will report directly to Regional Sales Manager.


Objective: To promote and generate scripts on key products from Doctors and Pharmacies on both ethical and generic ranges.


  • To effectively manage the territory
  • To maintain and generate constant scripts from Doctors on both generic and ethical ranges
  • Provide ongoing customer support
  • Add value to an entrepreneurial climate
  • Achieve market share objectives and assist in achieving sales targets
  • Effective territory expense management and control
  • Manage effective relationship management




  • Product knowledge on both Aspen and competitor products
  • Effective territory management
  • Knowledge of basic financial calculation i.e. Gross Margins, mark-ups and % discount
  • Very strong communication skills
  • Administration skills
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to read and analyze SSD data
  • Ability to prepare and host a CME
  • Commercial awareness and acumen
  • Valid driver’s license


  • Matric. Tertiary qualification will be an advantage  
  • Atleast 2 to 3 years proven successful track record in Pharmaceutical sales is essential
  • Previous basket experience/exposure would be an advantage (ARV)
  • Existing relationships with key customers would be advantageous
